About Art Florentyna

Florentyna is a personal development coach who is trauma-informed and understands the struggles faced by those undergoing scapegoat recovery. Her journey began in the field of animal-assisted therapy, where she received rigorous training in mental health, psychology, human behavior, and animal behavior, enabling her to take her first steps in assisting troubled individuals and accompanying them towards better well-being. Throughout the years, she has worked in diverse settings, ranging from conducting group sessions with troubled kids to leading group sessions in care residencies with patients suffering from various conditions such as delirium, schizophrenia, mood disorders, dementia, and substance abuse. Additionally, she had the opportunity to host a group session to support formerly incarcerated women as they reintegrated into society, as well as short-term sessions for incarcerated women in prison. As a scapegoat recovery survivor herself, Florentyna has merged her education, professional, and personal experiences to create a personalized coaching practice aimed at assisting other survivors in rebuilding their sense of self and setting healthy goals to move forward from their difficult past. With her background and experience in the mental health field and trauma-informed coaching, she continuously educates herself and now specializes her practice in coaching survivors of dysfunctional family systems.

My Personal Journey

My journey to support and empower survivors who have been scapegoated began with my own healing and recovery from the scapegoated role. I once found myself at the bottom of the ‘food chain’—battling limiting beliefs about my worth, questioning my capabilities, and carrying a false sense of responsibility where the goalpost of ‘peace, acceptance, respect, being heard, being seen, and being loved’ continually shifted, no matter how hard I tried. Extensive introspection and education helped me realize that the stagnation, desperation, and struggles I experienced were rooted in the false narratives and deep-seated beliefs I held about myself and the world. My journey led me to a profound realization: I wasn’t the problem, and my personality didn’t require perpetual fixing or changing for there to be healthy love, genuine peace, emotional safety, acceptance, and loving relationships in my life.

Instead of persisting in a cycle where I was consistently told that I needed to perpetually fix and change who I was, like a broken record fitting into unrealistic expectations, I redirected my focus to listen to my needs for the first time. Creating a safe space within me, I allowed my voice to exist and be validated—by me. Choosing to prioritize my own well-being, I embarked on the ongoing restoration of my authentic self.

My commitment now, as a personal development coach is to recognize the ever-shifting goalposts placed by toxic people. Instead, I encourage you to create your own goals, fully aligned with who you are, where you want to be, and who you want to become. Here’s a little secret for you: the character traits that scapegoats are often demonized for are, in fact, their best features.

Personal development is about self-discovery and shedding the layers of limiting beliefs, allowing us to finally find at the core who we really are. As a personal development coach, my aim is to empower survivors to live authentically and align with their true values.

This is not just a profession for me; it’s a passion-driven mission to contribute to the healing and empowerment of those who have experienced the challenges of being scapegoated. The goal is to assist you in thriving and flourishing in a life that resonates with authenticity, purpose, and fulfillment.
